The Challenge
This was an extremely ambitious project: organizing a festival in just a couple of months. The organizers wanted me to create a website and a simple visual identity for this high-risk initiative so that students could register for the event and access practical information, both for themselves and their parents. Given the tight timeline, there was high risk involved and no guarantee the project would succeed.
The Solution
Initially, I delivered a very simple website and a basic logo within a short timeframe. The focus was on speed and efficiency, as most tasks had deadlines of only days or even hours, just to make the festival feasible.
As the project progressed, the scope of my work expanded. I was later commissioned to design posters, marketing materials for social media, as well as signs and banners for the festival grounds. This also involved agile iterations on the visual identity throughout the marketing phase to better align with the target audience. Thanks to my broad skill set, I was able to contribute across many areas with great flexibility.
The Results
The festival was a great success, with over 8,000 students attending. The organizers expressed that they couldn’t have pulled it off without my help. Following the success of the event, they have now secured a 5-year agreement with the municipality to continue hosting the festival in the years to come.
